Candlelit Christmas Wedding at The Great Hall at Mains of Zoe & Paul Cook

We had loads of fun planning the flowers for this wedding, Zoe and her gorgeous Mum & I enjoyed some great meetings, we even lit candles and planned evening appointments in order to create the right atmosphere for this twilight wedding day, I will, I know, miss these two lovely ladies, but for now lets enjoy a very beautiful wedding day, seen through the lens of a florists camera!

Zoe's Vintage Christmas wedding bouquet, a sumptuous collection of fragrant blooms (It was going to be dark so the flowers needed to be scented rather than seen) deliciously perfumed Lily of the Valley, the Spring scent of Paper Whites, Fragranced Norma Jean Roses, Christmas Roses, Amnesia & Snowflake Roses, Classic Hydrangeas, Skimmia, Eucalyptus, Thalaspi, and Stephanotis were gathered together in a natural yet elegantly voluptuous posy of seasonal floral fragrance.

Zoe was having the finishing touches to her hair and make up when we arrived to present her wedding bouquet, the fabulous Sonara Parker MUA was in charge of make up and the lovely Stella from The Crib was creating fabulous hair designs both of these ladies come highly recommended, they are seriously professional and always do a superb job!

The uber fabulous Bride's Mum Pauline, wearing a glorious Wrist Corsage to compliment the Bride
The Bride's Mum's Wrist Corsage created to tone with her Pewter and Black ensemle, we included Albiflora, Mini Phalaenopsis Orchids, Rolled Amnesia Rose Petals, Snowflake Rose Buds, Kochia & Diamante Sparkle
We headed off to one of my all time favourite venues the spectacular The Great Hall at Mains, the outside light was beginning to dim and a warm, cosy candlelit wedding ceremony was getting ever closer, we put the finishing touches to our designs and illuminated all of the candles

The Registrars table was draped in a garland of fragrant herbs, sweet scented blooms and illuminated by crystal candlesticks, the perfect spot for signing the register

Two silver candelabras surrounded by a garland of fresh flowers were stood on stone columns framing the fireplace where a huge fire blazed enhancing the cosiness and welcome that greeted the guests

The aisle was lined with candlelit hurricane lamps and fresh fragrant Rose Petals

Each alternate chair lining the aisle had an exquisite little posy of fresh Roses, Bouvardia, Thistles, Hydrangeas and Wax Flower Blossom attached to the Chair Dressings provided by the great folks at Creative Cover Hire

The Groom's very special Boutonniere of Fresh Lily of the Valley, Rosemary, Ivy, Viburnum Berries, an Akito Rose and a Thistle.

Zoe's very handsome Bride Groom the lovely Paul
The guests arrived and while we pinned all of the Buttonholes in place, the super talented saxsophonist Calvin Henry (Provided by Howard Wing) entertained everyone brilliantly

The Bride arrived almost under cover of darkness

The photographer for the evening was the fabulous Dan Wootton another of our favourite wedding suppliers providing a very personal service and exceptional photography
Zoe looked completely stunning
Rebecca the beautiful Bridesmaid was wearing a fabulous gown from Ted Baker, the soft antique shade toned perfectly with the Amnesia Roses her Bouquet

As this was an evening wedding a fabulous menu of evening walking canapes was created by the incredible team from Twelve

The Registrars garland was used to surround other tables with Hurricane lamps

The tall elegant candelabras, just looked spectacular on the other dining tables

Tea lights Rose Petals and diamante sprinkles completed the romantic look!
