Civil Ceremony at The Great Hall at Mains, February 28th 2009

We've have been so excited about Vicky & Adam's wedding since we first met Vicky & her mum Sandra last year, we all hit it off immediately, they are, you see real life true"Flower Lovers", they also have superb taste...

The very beautiful bride & her bridesmaid Andrea, I think they were both seriously bursting with excitement, I'd also like to think they were pretty thrilled with the flowers too.
Welcome to one of the most elegant Civil Ceremony Venues in Lancashire, The Great Hall at Mains.

On the registrars table we created a traditional design centred around a cluster of chapel candles with fragrant foliages, rambling tendrils of ivy tumbling over the front of the table, together with an abundance of co-ordinating flowers forming a dynamic focal point.

The large design was designed with the spring time in mind we used some delicious materials including Pussy Willow and sumptuous Roses.

We perched a delicate arrangement of Tulips & Roses on the edge of the table, where the marriage is to be officially recorded & registered.

The ceiling was dramatically draped and the chairs were covered by Creative Cover Hire.

Adam had a Special individually designed boutonnière created from key elements an Ivory Rose, lily of the valley and rolled rose petals used in the bridal bouquet finished with the stem bound in silver bullion.

Pete & Rebecca from Pete Lucas Photography were doing an excellent job and were an absolute pleasure to work with, I can't wait to see their beautiful images. Here they are photographing the arrival of our stunning bride.

Andrea looking fabulous

Andrea's gown was from "The Wedding People" in Accrington

Sandra our very lovely Bride’s Mother is wearing a trouser suit in bronze/coppery tones. We designed a deluxe epaulette corsage to compliment the style colour and design of her outfit we used Singapore Orchids with tiny pearl studs in a similar bronzy tone and rolled petals and lily of the valley.

Andrea is wearing a gown in Mocha, we designed a loose posy style hand tie, using some of the flowers from Vicky’s bridal bouquet.

I love this photo (More luck than judgement!) I like the reflection of Andrea in the window and how uber excited Vicky is.

How utterly gorgeous she looks!

The bouquet we created for Vicky was in a “Flower Design” hand tied cascading yet natural shower style, the colour balance is predominantly ivory with some gorgeous Metalina Roses, Ivory & Vendella Roses, Lily of the Valley, Viburnum Opulus, Singapore Orchids, White Lilac, Broom Ginesta, Tulips, Paper Whites and a selection of beautiful spring foliages inc Rosemary, Champagne Grass (Panicum), fine Eucalyptus and French Ruscus .

Vicky & her Dad, deep breaths, smile, go slowly, squeeze the juice out of this moment.....

They entered to the sounds of a beautiful harp, played by Harpist extrodinaire Maxine Molin-Rose

It was all so magical and perfect, with the opening to the aisle lined with candelabras

We dressed the cake with fresh flowers

Our Bride & Groom signing the register

The two registrars were brilliant Linda and Jane, Jane has star quality and I always think it's a treat to hear her perform the ceremony.
